Enjoy summer, but respect the power of nature
It's that time of the year when we get a lot of sun. A quick note to student and Taiji friends. Do look after yourself when it gets hot. If you're going to train outside, do apply sunblock and a good insect repellent. Sunglasses and a hat are also helpful too. Let's not forget to bring water and stay hydrated. Here's a tip, take long deep breaths and move slowly. It's one of the things I picked up when I was in Hong Kong. It can get a lot hotter and more humid. Walking around under the beating sun is not easy. However, by slowing your breathing and movement, it can help. Doing forms in the heat is not easy either. But use the previously mentioned tip and you'll be fine.
If in doubt, don't go out. Be positive about the weather because in a few months time, many will bemoan that it will be cold and wet. Enjoy summer, but respect the power of nature.
We'll be training on the Terrace in Dunorlan Park. As usual, we'll be sensible and look after ourselves.
